Paring Knife Bent Tip Repair and Sharpening

Every now and then, knives fall or get dropped. Sometimes things go tragically wrong and the entire tip breaks off, or in this case, the end just gets bent, but not broken. For this paring knife, we first tried repairing the bend by bending it back with pliers. The small area of bend made it more feasible to just grind off the bent tip and reshape it in the end. We used a 100 grit 4×36″ belt grinder for the repair.
